A basic first aid training program was conducted for select site staff of Alia Construction on 19 October 2017.
The objective of the training program was to ensure that our workers are equipped with the basic knowledge to help save someone’s life in the work environment, until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. The training included few prime modules and limited time for practice comprising basic idea of transportation of casualty, first aid for medical and miscellaneous conditions, CPR for adults, management of blood loss, electric shock, burns and fractures.
The participants were tested on their ability to deal with life threatening injuries and conditions, skills for transportation of unconscious casualties, care for casualties with severe blood loss and shock and CPR for adults. This training program was organized by the company, in association with Maldives Red Crescent.
Certificates were issued to successful participants.
