The fourth annual basic first aid training program was conducted for select site and office staff of Alia Construction on 29 February 2020. This program was conducted in association with Maldives Red Crescent. Certificates were issued to the 25 staff who successfully completed the training.
The objective of the training program was to ensure that our workers are able to provide appropriate treatment required for saving a life by minimizing the consequences of any injury until the arrival of advanced medical assistance. The training included few prime modules comprising basic idea of first aid for medical and miscellaneous conditions, management of blood loss, CPR for adults, burns and fractures.
The participants were given limited time for practice and were tested on their ability to care for casualties with severe blood loss, provide CPR for adults, and deal with life threatening injuries and conditions.
