Alia Construction was upgraded from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015, following an audit conducted by Mr. Oswald Ranathunga of SGS on 14 February 2017.
Alia Construction is the first construction company in the Maldives to be certified for ISO which is the most commonly used international standard for quality management system.
ISO 9001:2015 is more practical and more in line with the modern business practices and places more emphasis on leadership and management commitment.
The audit team concluded that we have identified internal and external risks and opportunities pertaining to the scope and maintained our management system in line with the requirements of the new standard. The audit also demonstrated that we have the ability to systematically achieve agreed requirements for products or services within the scope and the Company’s policy and objectives. Accordingly our ISO certification was successfully upgraded to ISO 9001:2015.
