The first training program on ocean safety and basic swimming was conducted at R. Aarah project on 16 June 2017.
This training was conducted by our Safety Engineers Mr. Vinoth Ramamoorthy and Mr. Alangaraj Thangaraj, assisted by safety officers and volunteer staff (proficient swimmers) under the supervision of Project Coordinator Mr. Mohamed Shameem.
This was a practical session designed to teach participants basic swimming/floating skills and the proper use of life jackets and other flotation devices in case of an incident while working near the water. All safety precautions were taken prior to and during the training.
Over 200 staff (swimmers and non-swimmers) participated in the program.
