Basic Sea Rescue Training 2018

The first annual Sea Rescue Training was conducted at our Soft Rock Hotel Site on 3 August 2018.

The course was designed to ensure that the participants will be equipped with the basic knowledge to help and rescue a person in case of an unfortunate incident at sea. This training program was conducted by Professional Lifeguard Trainers Mr. Ahmed Zunaij and Mr. Hassan Maadhih Yoosuf.

The participants’ ability to swim a minimum of 100 meters and their ability to dive (deep and distance) was assessed prior to and during the training. Other areas covered include drowning safety, clinch safety, jump and tows safety and combination exercise. The participants were assessed on the knowledge gained from the training with a series of mock incidents.

12 staff participated in this program.
